Its job is to help transfer energy between the upper and lower body. The hips and upper back should be doing most of the rotational work. When they don’t move well, the lower back often picks up the slack. And eventually it complains. Usually loudly.

Why Does My Back Tighten Up During a Round?

One of the most common complaints we hear is: “My back feels fine at the start, but gets progressively worse as the round goes on.” This often comes down to fatigue.

  • Balance becomes less efficient
